The Golden Circle is a roleplaying group based around the showbiz industry.
The group will be rated as R-18 as there will possible mentions of certain themes (such as but not limited to: drugs and sex) to a degree.
A Discord account will be mandatory as any and all group activity will take place via Discord servers.

MEET THE MODS
SETTING
○ THE CITY — ESTELLA
The Golden Circle takes place in the fictional seaside city of Estella. There are numerous walks of life which live in Estella as it has decades of history under its belt; however, in the recent century it has risen to be a city circulating around the show business industry — garnering its nickname: "The City of Stars".
Estella is split into 3 major districts: Uptown, Downtown, and the Beach. Each district contains their own specialties and locations which make them unique to one another.
▸UPTOWN - The oldest of the three districts as well as the most populated. Majority of Estella’s citizens live in this district as many schools and neighbourhoods can be found here. Remnants of the city’s past can be found in his district as well — giving it its old-timey charm. Despite its appearance, the Uptown district is well adapted to times. Here, you will also find more local businesses and markets.
▸ DOWNTOWN - Downtown is the centre and heart of Estella. Although relatively the newest among the districts, its immense growth over the years has proved it to be quite the powerhouse. Many businesses and companies are housed here, thus making Downtown the economic hub of the city as well. Of course, you can find a residence in this part of the city; however, usually in apartments, hotels, or officetels.
▸ BEACH - Estella’s tourist centre and nightlife — depending on the time of day, of course! The Beach district is always active. No matter where you go, the streets are bustling and full of life. During the day, people can find themselves at the beach or at the city’s amusement park, Peepoland. During the night, the streets of the Game Corner light up the district. For those in need of some adventure, the doors of The Regal Pearl are wide open.
○ THE AGENCIES
Within the city of Estella, there are four talent agencies who plan on making their names known throughout the industry — all of which are either new or revived.
BLACK EMBER
Founder: Talon Tedman
Office Location: Uptown
A new agency founded by a former idol, Black Ember's mission statement is to provide their talents with utmost creative freedom and control! Black Ember is focused on representing idols (especially niche or experimental ones) — but the agency is currently working toward expanding their horizons when it comes to recruiting.
JADE PEONY
Founder: Fuxing Zheng
Office Location: Downtown
Originally a small-time modelling agency, Fuxing's former husband inherited it and built it into what it is now — a well rounded, well established entertainment agency. While Jade Peony hasn't taken on much new talent in the last 15 years, Jade Peony opens its doors once more to new talent. When asked what Jade Peony is looking for in talent, its CEO simply says "they have to be interesting."
SANGRIA BUTTERFLY
Founder: Florian Novabelle
Office Location: Uptown
A newly built agency formed by a formerly famous Actor who retired on the peak of his career, the eccentric Florian Novabelle. Sangria Butterfly is an agency focused on Acting, but its founder, when interviewed about its future plans, had expressed his interest in expanding on other entertainment, especially musicals.
WHITE ROSE
Founder: Elijah Adele
Office Location: Downtown
Previously the Estella Modeling Agency, White Rose is the result of an acquisition from the Adele Corporation on part of the heir and current company president, Elijah Adele. As its history suggests, White Rose has a particular specialization towards those of the modelling profession; however, it does plan on branching towards all talents.

○ RULES
GENERAL CONDUCT
▸ Be respectful. We will not tolerate any kind of bigotry, including homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, etc. No harassment of any kind will be accepted as well. Also, please refrain from talking about any controversial topics in-server. If asked to stop, please stop.
▸ All arguments should be handled respectfully and privately. If a problem does arise, please contact one of the mods.
▸No tracing or plagiarism of any kind are allowed whatsoever. If we do find out that you have done either, you will be kicked without any further discussion.
▸This group is R-18. You must be, at a minimum, eighteen (18) in order to participate in The Golden Circle. In this group, we may cover sensitive topics in scandals. Do not lie about your age when applying; we will be checking.
▸ No NSFW except in designated channels. Suggestive or light NSFW jokes are fine but nothing explicit/graphic. Keep that in DMs please.
▸ We do have a three strike system. Before being given strikes, we do give a warning ahead of time; however, should you not heed our warning, we will give a strike. Once you are given the third strike, you will be kicked from the group.
RP CONDUCT
▸ No godmodding. Adhere to what is present at the moment of roleplaying. In other words, do not do whatever you want. Be realistic.
▸No powerplay. Don't take control of other people's characters. When roleplaying, you should be allowing for your partner to respond however they like.
▸ No meta-roleplaying. Essentially, whatever you know is not something that your character knows. Within the universe, please adhere to what your character would know from having interacted with their environment.
▸ Don't cheat your rolls. Whatever you roll, you must stick with the consequences that come with it.
▸Don't force ships or roleplay content of any kind your roleplaying partner is not comfortable with. Essentially no ship-chasing or making your roleplay partner do things they don’t want to.

GENERAL
Q. What kind of group is this?
A. The Golden Circle (TGC) is a 18+, semi-casual, semi-public roleplaying group which is based around the show business industry. In this group, we're very open to both artists and writers alike as the main focus is roleplaying. (However, we do only ask one piece of art from writers which is for their character application.)
Q. How does activity work in this group?
A. Although we lean more towards the casual side of "semi-casual", we are looking for participation from our members. Just as long as you make the occasional submission or participate in RP events, then you should be good for the most part.
Q. Will there be activity checks?
A. Yes, but either every 6 months or before openings. There will be an announcement around the activity check period that will contain more information.
Q. How realistic/accurate will this group be?
A. Only enough to make sense. We won't be too pushy on like being accurate for things like jobs, agency rules, etc. After all, we're here to have fun mostly.
Q. Will there be future public openings for the group?
A. We do plan on having future openings for the public, yes! Always be on a look out on our Twitter and Deviantart for those announcements.
IN-UNIVERSE
Q. What agencies can we apply for? Are we assigned or can we choose?
A. The agencies are Black Ember, Jade Peony, Sangria Butterfly, and White Rose. When applying or creating a new character, you're allowed to pick whichever agency you feel fits your character.
Q. If I wanted to transfer agencies, could I?
A. Of course! Note that there may be consequences when doing so though. If your character transfers, then in-universe this will be public news.
Q. Are characters allow to have cross-agency relationships? If so, does their relationship have to be announced?
A. That's fine! And there's no need to announce the relationship unless you and your partner want them to be publicly known about in-universe.
Q. Will there be scandals?
A. Oh, you better believe there will be.
Q. What is a "Peepo"?
A. A friend :)
CHARACTER CREATION
Q. How many characters can I roleplay as?
A. As many as you want as long as you purchase the appropriate items for it!
Q. How old can my character be at the very least?
A. 18 is the minimum age for TALENTS; 25 is the minimum age for MANAGEMENT.
Q. Can my character have unusual hair/eye colours?
A. Go apeshit we're here for you.
Q. Are we allowed to rehome or treat this as an AU for our characters?
A. Go ahead! Even we, the mods, are also either rehoming our characters here or are treating this as an AU for them.
Q. If my character has X for their job, do they have to be at Y agency?
A. Nope! Although all the agencies have their own "specializations" which they lean towards, they are all mixed in talents so no matter what job you have you may apply to whichever agency you wish.

CHARACTER CREATION
○ RESERVATION
Please be sure to follow the given format when reserving your character. Although not entirely necessary, we do still implore you to use our Reservation Journal and Gallery as to avoid duplicate first and last names.
(Note: After opening periods, we do wipe the reservation journals clean for future public openings.)
○ JOBS
There are numerous occupations within the showbiz industry; however for The Golden Circle in particular, we do limit what jobs are available for convenience sake.
TALENTS
▸ ACTORS - OPEN
As an actor, it is your job to portray the characters given to you regardless the kind of performance — whether it be in movies or dramas. Within The Golden Circle, all actors will have an opportunity to experience both the big and TV screens... perhaps more.
▸ IDOLS - OPEN
Entertainers whose images are manufactured and marketed for their fans. They are often either a member of a group or a solo act. Other than music, idols are also trained other fields such as acting, dancing in modelling. In The Golden Circle, idols will be more focused towards the music and dance portions of their careers; however, other opportunities may open in the future.
(Note: Idols groups are only allowed THREE members MAX.)
▸ MODELS - OPEN
The bridges between the fashion and entertainment industries. Models are the aides to an artist's works as well as the faces to help promote for numerous business. In The Golden Circle, models are quite special as they will always have a modeling job as the fashion industry within Estella remains strong and assertive to keep their place.
MANAGEMENT
▸ AGENTS - LOCKED
Also known as talent or booking agents are the people that find the jobs for our talents! All negotiations of jobs for talents are handled by them! In the Golden Circle, one agent can be assigned multiple manager-talent matches.
▸ MANAGERS - OPEN
The primary "guardian" for the talents. Although managers and agents can function similarly, managers are more invested in their individual talents. Often times, they will provide guidance in helping their talents make decisions and can help negotiate terms with agents. In The Golden Circle, it is noted that managers will be paired off with a single talent or talent group (i.e. one idol group).
(All agents have their own offices in their respective agencies.)
○ APPLICATIONS
VISUAL
▸For the main portion of the app, we would like for you to have a clear COLOURED, FULL BODY of your character in their "work" attire.
▸For the headshot portion, a clear COLOURED, HEADSHOT of your character — preferably in casual attire, if you would like. However, you are free to use the headshot from your FULL BODY as well.
▸Please keep in mind that we will be judging based on DESIGN QUALITY, EFFORT, and ORIGINALITY. When looking at apps we will not be judging based off skill or style; however, we don't want any incomplete or messy art of your character.
▸If desired, you may use commissioned art. Please be sure to include credit in your artist comments!
WRITTEN
Please include at least all of the required fields within either artist's comments or in a separate doc (gdocs, carrd, toyhouse, etc) that is linked in the artist comments.
All required info will be denoted by a circle (○).
Note: LINK TO WRITTEN INFO is to make it easier for people to copy. To copy the file, do File > Make Copy.
○ Name: Character's full name.
Alias: Can be your character's stage name. This is optional but use if applicable.
○ Age: Age upon enrollment into the group.
○ Gender: All genders are welcome! Be sure to include your character's pronouns as well so people may know how to refer to them.
Date of Birth: Optional but preferred.
Height: Optional but preferred. Including may make it easier for others to reference.
○ Agency: Black Ember, Jade Peony, Sangria Butterfly, or White Rose. For more information, please read Setting so you can pick an agency you feel best fits your character. (Note: If applying, it is recommended you keep this portion blank until results are released.)
○ Job: The job of your character. (Note: If you're an idol, please include the name of the group.)
Group Mates: If you're an idol, please include your group mates here.
○ Manager/Talents: For now, leave this portion blank. Once you've been accepted, this will be the portion where you can include who your manager/the talents you are managing.
○ Personality: When writing about your character's personality, try to be cohesive and coherent as possible! We would like to get to your character from how they appear before others and how they actually are. If you feel that bullet points are the best way to describe your character, please be sure you are detailed with each point (5 points, 2 sentences each point minimum). Make sure your character's personality is balanced as well; however, don't be afraid to be unique.
○ Biography: When writing your character's biography, all we ask is at least one paragraph and a tl;dr if it exceeds over 1000 words (bullet points are acceptable for tl;dr). You may decide to censor some parts of your history or even lock it; however, if you do so, please link the full history in your gforms application under the appropriate section.
If you need some help writing your character's biography, ask yourself:
What was their life before entering the agency? What is their motivation? How did they end up in showbiz? Do they have prior experience of what they were doing?
(Note: Also, remember these are new or revived agencies. If your character has prior experience, tell us how they end up transferring. Once you've been accepted, you're free to adjust this portion of your app to accommodate whichever agency you end up in.)
Additional Info: Optional. Simple miscellaneous info about your character. Feel free to add trivia, moodboards, playlists, etc.
RP Info: Optional. This includes timezone, availability, preferences in platform, etc.
○ HOW TO JOIN
Once you've created your character, we ask you to fill out our Google Forms application as in that particular gforms will include all the information that is needed to be filled out. When the time comes, we will post the gforms on our Deviantart, Twitter, in our Preserver, and have a link here as well.
